Alright, four weeks left and I’ll be on my way to Hong Kong. :]
Anyway, I just fixed my laptop after finding out that I have been infected with a trojan, or a virus (I don’t really know the difference). After scanning my laptop, the anti-virus program gave me a "report" of the infected files, and I was able to locate them and to delete them. Hopefully, the virus is totally gone (my internet connection is pretty fast now, hope I don’t jinx it). I don’t even know how I got the virus in the first place.
What else? Just been watching the Filipino news all the time about Pres. Cory’s death and her wake. I saw on t.v. the funeral convoy which transferred her remains from La Salle Greenhills, the first site of her public viewing, to the Manila Cathedral. WOW. I must say, it was very overwhelming. You could really see how much Filipinos love Pres. Cory. It was like watching People Power take place again. Seriously, that amount of people throwing yellow confetti over the convoy, waving yellow flags, praying, doning the "L" sign which stands for Laban (Fight), and singing "Magkaisa" (Unify). WOW AGAIN. If I was there, I think I would cry. It showed a tremendous amount of gratefulness, love, and support of what Pres. Cory had done for the Philippines. I wish I was in the Philippines right now so I could go to her wake. Anyway, her funeral will be held on Wednesday so I think I will be stuck again in front of the tv, watching the live coverage of the event.
So, I think my laptop is alright now. It didn’t crash (yet). Alright, I’m hungry. Let me drink a glass of milk.
PS. Once again, thank you very much Pres. Corazon Aquino.
Thanks ireport.com for the video!
Thank you for restoring democracy in the Philippines.
FINALS WEEK NEXT WEEK… and that means, SCHOOL IS OVER SOON
Happy, sad, bittersweet.
I should be studying right now, but I stopped a few hours ago because I got tired, and lazy. HAHA
So, how does my final schedule look like?
Wednesday – Korean Final & Econ Final
Friday – Physics Final
Not that bad, I’m just REALLY lazy to study.
And after my last final on Friday, I have to pack my stuff, disassemble my bed for a friend, and leave San Diego, for about mmm, a year.
Oh yes, I’m excited for Hong Kong. Really excited. I can’t wait. I can’t wait to go back to the Philippines as well. NGAYON NA.
To my friends in the Philippines, KITA KITS SOON! :]

1st stop: Hong Kong, CUHK!

And of course, ang aking tahanan, Perlas ng Silanganan. HAHA
I don’t know if you all know that Philippines is one of the most very religious countries in the world. Majority of the people are Catholics. Maybe that’s the reason why I attended a Catholic school for 8 years, besides the fact that my dad and my brother went to the same school(s). But anyway, in the Philippines, the people celebrate a week of holiness to commemorate the life of Jesus before he died.
So… I am not going to talk about his life here, but instead, the traditions and practices they, including me when I was still there, do.

People waving palm leaves on the air. Hallelujah.
Pabasa – I don’t really know how to explain this, but it’s like a hymnal book/praise that goes on for 24/7 until Friday (supposedly Jesus’ death):

Penitensya – Men, I’m not sure if women do it too, hit themselves in their backs with sharp and/or hard material. It’s their devotion, much like paying up for their sins I guess:

Yep, real blood. This used to scare me when I was a kid :O
Cenakulo – a performance/devotion to reenact Jesus’ carrying of the cross:

Once again, so scared of this when I was a kid.
Prusisyon (Procession) – devotees march the streets with their statues of saints, martyrs, Jesus, etc.

I always did this in the Philippines since my Grandma has a statue. My relatives still do it and I miss it… terribly.
SO, point made? I wanna go back to the Philippines soon, and experience these once again.
