Oh Godga, please come to Hong Kong.

There’s a huge stadium in Hung Hom. YES, a BIG one. It can accommodate your newly revamped tour, so go!

In other news, I wanna eat at BoInnovation Restaurant. Michelin Stars rates it with 2 stars. Not good? WRONG!

that’s 2 out of 3 stars, so it should be awesome, delicious, and expensive.

Egg yolk? WRONG! That’s Xiao Long Bao. Uhuh.

HAHAHA. This is so old but since I finally decided to upload the pics in my laptop, let me show you this picture. Nothing special, it’s just that it was random and unexpected.

My dinner when the typhoon hit Hong Kong. LOL

Me and Janice were gonna go get dinner but strangely, all the canteens that we went to were closed. I saw this paper (everything was in Chinese, except the number 8 ) posted by the door of the canteen but we couldn’t understand it. It was “Signal 8.”

Apparently, every time they declare a Signal 8 here, all buildings in campus close down, including the canteens. Since me and Janice did not know that it was Signal 8, we weren’t aware that the canteens were closed so we kept walking and walking, looking for a place to eat. Fortunately, my roommate called me and told me that it was Signal 8. Alas, we finally knew what was happening. LOL.

My umbrella broke that night too :/ Now I REALLY want the “Shit, it’s raining” umbrella.

Don’t really want to make a blog about all the stuff that are happening to me and Janice but let this post be a summary of them random stuff.

~ 12 course meal is so tiring. I actually got tired of eating. It was good though. Very good.

~ I opened a room in Janice’s hostel thinking that nobody was inside. I was wrong. There was a girl. She looked terrified. I looked terrified. Ran to the elevator and cracked up with Janice.

~ Room isn’t that nice. It’s dirty, yes, dirty. There are bugs. Gross. It’s hot. It’s far. Oh well, I’ll get used to it.

~ MTR is so helpful and convenient. You can basically go to the mall everyday. Closest mall from our school only takes around 10 mins.

~ Shuttle route is so confusing. Although it is a necessity. Walking around campus? Not a very good idea. NOT AT ALL.

~ It’s weird how me and Janice wake up so early. I don’t know. It’s not jetlag.

~ Sweat all over. Enough said.

~ It’ll take time to get used to this, but I love Hong Kong. It’s so alive and I don’t think someone will get bored here.

Kinder Surprise. That chocolate egg that encloses a surprise inside.

They don’t sell it in the US because some Act “prohibits embedding ‘non-nutritive items’ in confections.” Thanks Wikipedia! Anyway, surprisingly, no pun intended, I found it in Hong Kong. It costs 6 HKD = some US cents.

What’s the surprise? Find out.

EDIT: VIDEOS ARE ALL PUBLIC NOW. hehe. AOISH

OK, I know, VERY late. Blame the crappy internet connection. Anyway, I think you already know it, but I (and Janice) are in Hong Kong now. I’m gonna post videos instead of pictures since you’ve already seen them on Facebook (I hope).

At LAX:

More vids!

LATE POST LOL OOOPSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

Today is the day (actually our flight is at midnight).

Hong Kong in approximately 22 hours.

It took me about 2 1/2 days to pack because I only wanted to bring one huge luggage but ended up packing so much clothes. So, I packed, then unpacked, then packed again. It was difficult for me. I don’t know why, but I felt sad leaving some of my clothes at home. Here’s the clothes that I have removed from my first packing:

My passport and documents on the left side, and my brother’s foot on the right side. (Focus on the clothes people!)

Final product:

It weighs ~47 lbs (the limit is 50 lbs :O ). Go biceps!

In addition to my almost 50 lbs luggage, I’m bringing my backpack (the one that I always look for when you know what happens to me) filled with my laptop and other electronic stuff (hope the airport people don’t think I have a bomb inside).

I think this is my official schedule for Term 1 in CUHK. I hope so. I hope so.

Shake with Britney then enter.

Alright, so I got an email with my permanent residency in CUHK. Guess what? I was placed in Shaw College! I know, you don’t have an idea what that is, or where that is in CUHK. Well basically, it’s like Warren College (which is far from civilization – no offense Thi :] ), but farther from human contact.

Watch the baby to see how isolated I will be.

Alright, haven’t blogged in a while, like a real blog with meaningful (?) entries. So, I took my brother to the dentist today. WOW! It took two hours, and if you really know me, I hate waiting. Well, I had to endure two painful, boring hours; however, it was alright since Wen, Amira, and Janice kept me company through my phone (fantastic free text!).

Also, I don’t know if I have mentioned this but I got my student visa! Aye dios mio, finally. The only thing I need to do is to buy stuff (to bring to Hong Kong) and to pack.

I also need to get my driver’s license this summer! I have my appointment on August 1th at 11:00 AM. Hopefully, there won’t be a lot of cars in the street since I want to pass on my first time. Damn it, it looks so scary. I hope the person who will go with me is nice. :) I WANNA PASS!

MmMm, what else. Yeah, that’s pretty much it, I still need to gain weight.

Here’s a picture (gif) for your entertainment:

FINALS WEEK NEXT WEEK… and that means, SCHOOL IS OVER SOON

Happy, sad, bittersweet.

I should be studying right now, but I stopped a few hours ago because I got tired, and lazy. HAHA

So, how does my final schedule look like?

Wednesday – Korean Final & Econ Final
Friday – Physics Final

Not that bad, I’m just REALLY lazy to study.

And after my last final on Friday, I have to pack my stuff, disassemble my bed for a friend, and leave San Diego, for about mmm, a year.

Oh yes, I’m excited for Hong Kong. Really excited. I can’t wait. I can’t wait to go back to the Philippines as well. NGAYON NA.

To my friends in the Philippines, KITA KITS SOON! :]

1st stop: Hong Kong, CUHK!

And of course, ang aking tahanan, Perlas ng Silanganan. HAHA
